I wanted to share one of my favorite projects I make for the journaling kits we sell on ETSY. This is a fun, easy idea that is perfect for gift giving or a great project to do with your kids.
We are going to make bookmarks, are you ready??
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own HANDMADE BOOK MARKS:
- scrapbook paper (cardstock preferably)
- paper punch
- glue stick
- favorite or fun quote
That’s it so let’s get started.
I try to use card stock scrapbook paper at least for the bigger tag. There are so many fun beautiful colors and designs out there. For this tutorial, I am using this super cutesy owl print.
For making the owl bookmarks, I’m going to be using these tags that I cut for another bookmark project. They will be your templates for cutting the tag shape onto your scrapbook paper.
This is where you can get creative with your patterns. Making bookmarks is not only easy but it should be fun.
Paper punch the top of the larger card as this is where you will be stringing your ribbon through.
Glue your smaller tag onto your larger that.
I printed a few of my owlsome favorite quotes and cut them out to fit my tags.
Glue the quotes onto you bookmarks and add your ribbon.
That’s it!! Not you have a perfect give or even a stocking stuffer for your favorite person.
I’d love to see what you create with scrapbook paper and don’t forget to check out ETSY for the “Owl” journaling kit coming soon. We have a few other kits available if you would like to stop over and take a look.
